Carson's 1st Grade Pictures

Our big brother is a full-fledged 1st grader, with class photos and all!  And at close to seven, when pictures start to become a little more awkward, Carson is still our photogenic fellow.

Could it have something to do with the fact that he's had a photo obsessed mom putting a camera in his face since birth??

Possibly.

We love, love, love his teacher this year too! You can tell she really loves her job and has a ton of energy, even with a class full of six and seven year olds. Carson likes her a lot too, along with all of the friends from his class. He has learned so much like: counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's, reading a ton of sight words, and his handwriting looks so much better. We are only half-way into the school year; I can't wait to see all he can do by summer!

Bennett: 5 Months

Bennett, 5 months have came and went!!

Last month you weighed 19.5 lbs, wore 9-18 month clothing and size 3 diapers.

You really got the hang of rolling over last month.  If we laid you on your back you wouldn't stay that way long before flopping over to your tummy.

You began playing with toys too! You think Elmo is hilarious and will laugh your head off when he sings to you.  The bouncer and exersaucer have also been used a bunch.

You finally moved out of your carseat at bedtime and will now sleep in your bassinet.  We are still waiting for you to sleep all night every night before moving you into your nursery, but are happy to share the room with our last baby a little longer.

You began to eat a little more baby food last month.  Your favorite is cereal, but you like peas a lot too.  If we try to give you anything thicker than that you gag and scare us!

You started to realize when we leave you alone for even a moment. You would much rather have someone holding or sitting next to you and have no problem expressing your dissatisfaction when that doesn't happen immediately.

Those little baby teeth of yours aren't making life easy either!  It seems like you have been teething for close to three months now, but no teeth have popped up yet.

You are the perfect age for all of the holidays happening this time of year!  You looked adorable in your costume for your 1st Halloween and are going to love all the lights, music, and presents at Christmas!  And we are going to LOVE having three boys to celebrate with!

Bennett: Weeks 19-25

I will be posting your 5 month pictures soon and didn't want overwhelm them with your weekly pictures, so here you are from 19 to 25 weeks! :)

Halloween 2012

We have been so busy; I'm glad I've found a moment to blog!!  Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch for pictures and pumpkin purchasing.

I think this may have been Bennett's first time to see a pumpkin, and there were plenty.

Carson has had his picture taken at this church every year of his life!

He is still trying to figure out how to hold poor Bennett...

Deacon loved the wagon!

...he also loved scaring us half to death by running towards the street as we were paying for our pumpkins (which we never found time to carve)!

Halloween turned out fabulous!  Carson was a ninja (with a little drama from Party City's shipping, I was able to wait in line for an hour and a half the weekend before Halloween to get a replacement):

I had wanted to do a cute theme for all three boys, but with Carson wanting to be a ninja, Deacon not liking masks/hats, and Bennett being at an age where infant costumes are stinkin' adorable, we had them each do their own thing.

Deacon's Ghostbuster costume worked out great and he looked so cute.

Bennett was the cutest peacock ever!  The weather was pretty warm, so it didn't stay on long.

I love this picture, because our "little" 5 month old looks so huge!!

I was SO proud of Deacon!  They practiced trick-or-treating at his school, so he knew to walk right up to the door for his candy.  (He then tried to go into their house, but hey, it's progress!!)  He made it to about four houses before getting bored.

I love that teachers dress up for Halloween at my new school!!  We found a "Book Fairy" costume on pinterest that was cheap and easy to make.

Ms. Valentine is a HUGE Hunger Games fan who sported her Katniss costume.
I can't believe it is already November.  I love this time of year!
