After Carson and I got out of school and work, we headed to Houston. When we got downtown, I let Carson choose where we would eat. It worked out perfect that the Aquarium was literally across the street from where our play was, so we only had to pay for parking once!
We have eaten at the Aquarium in Kemah, but this was our first time at the downtown location.
They was decorated beautifully for the holidays and Carson was mesmerized by the gigantic tanks of swimming creatures!
Because we arrived early, there was no wait AND we sat at a table right next to the tanks! (Carson could hardly stay seated to enjoy, he wanted to get right up by the fish!) He was even more thrilled when is shark icee arrived.
Our waitress insisted on taking another picture because the first one didn't have enough fish in the background. She was right, this picture is gorgeous! (And notice how HUGE Carson's smile is!)
The walk to our show was beautiful. Carson needed to pose by the color-changing building!

What this picture missed was all of the Occupy Houston protesters, which gave me the opportunity to explain to Carson how blessed we are to live in a country where people are allowed to voice their opinions without being hurt or arrested.
Once inside, we had time to hit up the craft table, where Carson made an ornament.

That looks like time that will never be forgotten. Wonderful holiday memories. He looks like a really great kid. Take advantage of it while he still has room on his "date card" for you. CB
